Overview
Maintenance Building Manager maintains facilities to operate smoothly, keep them clean, and assist with repairs to prevent issues from worsening. The role involves a wide range of repair and cleaning tasks around a facility and requires a high level of mechanical aptitude across multiple trades, including mechanical, plumbing, and electrical.
Responsibilities- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues or concerns
- Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures as needed
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures
- Plan and schedule repairs as needed
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure standards are met
- Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry as required
- Help develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department
- Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies
- Perform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage (windows, doors, walls)
- Apply preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems
- Address potential safety hazards to prevent injuries
- Paint the building when old paint is faded or chipped
- Perform a variety of routine maintenance and cleaning tasks
- Help maintain cleanliness of common areas and restrooms
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
- Perform cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or seasonal/project requirements
- Consistently adhere to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information related to safe use of chemicals

Experience
Minimum of two years of experience preferred but not required. Must be 21 years of age.
Education
High School graduate;
Trade School education preferred.
While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and may be required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Vision: must be able to see with or without corrective lenses. The role involves exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
Ability to work an open schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends as necessary to meet the needs of the organization. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
