Hospital Custodial Worker

Overview

Riverview Psychiatric Center — Hospital Custodial Worker (Housekeeping). This position provides internal and external custodial services for the hospital, including cleaning and maintaining patient areas and facilities.

• Deliver food carts and clean residential and grounds areas, including patient bedrooms, dayrooms, dining areas, bathrooms, corridors, and program areas.
• Shovel, sand, move furniture, and escort contractors to specific work locations as needed.
• Assist patients in learning general custodial tasks.
• Physical work environment; on-the-job training is provided.

• Experience demonstrating housekeeping skills and the physical capacity to perform a variety of custodial tasks.

• Salary: $15.60 - $19.03 per hour (hourly rate includes a $0.60/hour institutional stipend). Beginning pay at step 4; starting salary for promotional candidates follows contractual requirements.

Augusta, Maine. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions.
