Job Summary

Riverview Psychiatric Center is recruiting an Institutional Maintenance Mechanic. Position will be located in Augusta, Maine, with opening date June 1, 2026 and closing date June 15, 2026.

Job Class Code: 8279 | Grade: 16 | Salary: $18.15 – $24.71 per hour (includes a $0.60 per hour institutional stipend). The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions.

Responsibilities

Perform a wide variety of mechanical tasks in installation, general repair, and maintenance of heating, power generating, water, and electrical systems. Provide maintenance and repair for laundry, kitchen, and farm machinery and equipment. Conduct general maintenance of the building and grounds. Supervise assigned helpers, typically patients, under general supervision.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ experience in general maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, mechanical systems, and buildings.
