Janitor / Cleaner

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor/Cleaner to join our team in Augusta, Maine. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout our property. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain all common areas
• Vacuum carpets and keep floors clean and presentable
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Laundry duties as needed
• Clean windows and other interior surfaces
• Sweep, mop, and maintain various flooring types
• Prepare and clean apartment units for resident turnover
• Assist maintenance staff with various tasks as needed
• Monitor and maintain cleaning supply inventory
• Perform other general cleaning and property-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous janitorial or cleaning experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies and equipment
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
