Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and safety of our affordable housing communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general maintenance, basic computer literacy, including keyboard and software navigation, and possess excellent customer service skills. This role is essential in ensuring our residents live in a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
Range
- Rocky Mountain Communities provided pay range: $27.00/yr - $29.00/yr
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
- Complete work orders and maintenance logs using property management software (Yardi) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management.
- Assist with unit turnovers, including cleaning, repairs, and painting.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- Must have EPA/HVAC certification (required)
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with property management software preferred (e.g., Yardi, App Folio).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Experience working in affordable or subsidized housing environments (preferred).
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for completing and/or recording work order information and other standard business communications (required)
- Operate and troubleshoot telephone issues as needed (required)
- Understanding common software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) (required)
- Navigating operating systems (Windows/macOS) (required)
- Valid and current Colorado Driver License and reliable transportation (required)
- Standard Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- On-Call Rotation:
Required to participate in an on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available to respond to emergency maintenance requests within a reasonable time frame.
