Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Job Summary
Under the supervision and direction of the Chief Engineer, this position is responsible for ensuring the overall physical aspects of the clubhouse and facilities meet the established standards for safety, appearance, and operation. The role covers the interior and exterior of the building and all related areas that support day‑to‑day activities of the clubhouse and pools. This position is non‑exempt, hourly, and reports to the Facility Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Continuously inspect the property for improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in the preventative maintenance program.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Engineer on a daily basis to track and complete building or maintenance projects; report any in‑house maintenance work weekly.
  • Perform light electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs, touch‑up paint, stain, and maintain property condition; manage complex maintenance projects through the Chief Engineer.
  • Inspect and supervise vendors who maintain building equipment, including pool equipment, HVAC, boilers, etc.
  • Understand building systems such as water shut‑offs, electrical cut‑offs, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of common area amenities, shop and office spaces, and all mechanical areas including the pool.
  • Replace light bulbs in all common areas as needed.
  • Perform other activities as requested by the Chief Engineer, Clubhouse Manager, General Manager, or Board of Directors.
  • Complete all other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 2‑3 years of prior experience in facility maintenance or apartment/multi‑family maintenance.
  • Experience with pool and HVAC systems.
  • Desire to maintain a clean shop and willingness to work with all people.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work effectively on multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, demanding environment.
  • Dependable, reliable, and follows through on commitments, producing timely high‑quality work and pitching in to complete tasks.
  • 2 years of experience in electrical, plumbing, painting and maintenance.
  • Strong customer service and organized attitude.
  • Must be available for weekend, overtime and on‑call hours.
