Job Overview
The Maintenance Technician provides support and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents. This includes quality move‑ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to the resident.
Responsibilities- Prepare make‑ready apartments, which may include painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and any necessary duties to provide our residents with that quality move‑in experience.
- Respond to resident requests in a timely manner with a professional attitude.
- Deliver superior customer service and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintain knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, general carpentry, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
- Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to keep them clean, operational, and safe for residents.
- Schedule on‑call duties to respond to after‑hour emergencies when required.
- Report any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Understand state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
- Attend and participate in training programs as required by Cushman & Wakefield.
- Perform all duties as assigned in a timely manner.
- Dress per Cushman & Wakefield uniform and professional appearance standards.
- Maintain all safety procedures and safeguard all company tools and equipment.
- Achieve high productivity through reliable and punctual on‑site attendance, reporting any tardiness or attendance issues to the immediate supervisor.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
- 1+ years of related experience.
- Valid driver’s license and EPA 608 certification (Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate).
- Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
- Basic numerical proficiency: compute rates, ratios, percentages, and prepare and interpret bar graphs.
- Problem‑solving ability for routine situations involving multiple variables.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including routine report and correspondence writing.
- Adherence to all safety procedures.
$19.55 – $23.00 per hour.
