** PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The hiring range for this position is $30.64 - $38.30 per hour

*** OVERVIEW OF POSITION / DEPARTMENT
** Aurora Water is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the drinking water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage systems, treatment of drinking water and non-potable reclaimed wastewater for irrigation, billing and collection, public outreach and water conservation, acquisition and development of future water rights, major capital projects programs, and quality control for regulatory compliance and public health. The Water Utility Lead Worker - Pumping performs skilled, semi-skilled and manual labor duties in the operation, maintenance and repair of pump/lift stations and tanks/fore bays operating in the raw, potable, reuse and irrigation water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems and wet wells.

* Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

*** Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on Pump/lift stations
* Oversees and reviews work and work crews
* Leads work on complex or elevated assignments
* Independently plans and leads assigned projects
* Operates and maintains specialized equipment that pertains to the operation of pump/lift stations
* Coordinates daily work activities
* Provides, prepares, maintains maintenance records and reports on work activities and equipment
* Identifies and troubleshoots pump/lift station concerns
* Trains and evaluates assigned personnel
* Responds to pump/lift station emergencies
* Performs snow removal activities
* Participates in confined space entry rescuer program
* Performs other related duties as assigned

* Knowledge of hazards, practices, policies & procedures related to pump/lift station operation, maintenance and repair
