Compensation:
Hourly pay range $16.83 – $25.29 per hour, variable by location and experience
Annual incentive/commission target: $6,000.00

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections on client lots, including locating, starting, moving, inspecting, and returning vehicles safely.
  • Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate information into the inspection system (VIN, mileage, sub‑series).
  • Document vehicle equipment and options, noting damage, missing, or inoperable items.
  • Record exterior condition (tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components) and interior condition (seats, dashboard, options).
  • Perform basic mechanical checks of powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
  • Prepare and submit daily activity reports to management.
  • Adapt to changes in daily appointments to maximize dealer visit efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop strong knowledge of clients in the territory and engage proactively to keep them active with Manheim mobile inspections.
  • Leverage partner data and insights to maximize unit volumes inspected on dealer lots.
  • Act as a Cox Automotive brand ambassador, providing a premier client experience and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with the Wholesale Specialist team, peers, Manheim work groups, and auctions.
  • Utilize  for reporting, lead input, and customer performance reviews.
  • Understand the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy and apply it consistently.
  • Participate in a continuous improvement/Lean environment and promote a lean culture.
  • Maintain production expectations set by leadership.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety by following all safety and health procedures.
  • Engage in all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of automotive-related experience.
  • Valid driver’s license; safe driving record.
  • Some travel required; mileage reimbursement program applicable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail‑oriented, motivated, and able to work independently with remote supervision.
  • Strong multitasking ability, following instructions and direction.
  • Physically capable of lifting and holding at least 30 lbs. at waist level, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching under or inside vehicles.
  • Near‑vision competency for identifying dings, scratches, paint, hail damage, and structural damage.
  • Ability to work in varied lighting conditions.
  • Physical and mental acuity to meet business time‑frame requirements.
  • Preferred experience with handheld documentation devices.
  • Helpful knowledge of body, paint, and mechanical repair; familiarity with unibody and full‑frame vehicles.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship; no OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship.
Drug Testing

Pre‑employment drug testing is required, except for marijuana. Cox Automotive enforces a drug‑free workplace; possession or use of illegal drugs during work hours, on company property, or in company vehicles is prohibited.
