The Science Team at Pride Health is currently supporting a client in the pharmaceutical industry that is looking to hire Engineering Technician in Aurora, CO.

Position Summary:

Provides laboratory equipment service and support, including preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and minor repairs for laboratory instruments and equipment. This role also involves coordinating with third‑party vendors, managing maintenance schedules, maintaining documentation, and ensuring excellent customer service. Approximately 60% of the role involves computer‑based work, including scheduling, documentation, inventory management, and service record maintenance.

Additional Details:

Pay range: $20 - $28/hour on W2 as per your experience

Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension

Shifts:

8–10 hours per day, 4–5 days per week (some weekends) - Start time 7:00 or 8:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment issues.
  • Conduct post‑maintenance testing and calibration activities.
  • Coordinate and manage third‑party vendors performing onsite preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure completion of preventive maintenance activities within established timelines and performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to service activities, dispatch records, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Upload and download required service data to maintain system integrity.
  • Manage assigned tools, test equipment, telecommunications devices, and service inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
  • Promote training, support services, software solutions, laboratory services, and equipment upgrades when appropriate.
  • Complete administrative tasks including time reporting and required training.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and direct stakeholders to appropriate resources when needed.
  • Continuously develop technical and professional skills through training and development programs.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent military experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, scheduling maintenance activities, equipment calibrations, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.
  • Experience in maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment.
  • Strong computer skills with experience performing documentation, scheduling, inventory tracking, and service record management.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or higher in a related technical or scientific field.
  • Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, or facilities maintenance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Exposure to analytical laboratory equipment and laboratory environments.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, service documentation, and written procedures.
  • Ability to work safely around electrical, chemical, radiological, and biological hazards while following established safety protocols.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
