Job Overview
Jan AID Crew Leader – Thompson Center Community Services, Aurora, IL (Full‑time, 2nd Shift, 2:00PM‑10:00PM). Pay: $21.75 per hour. Requires a high school diploma or GED.
Responsibilities- Train and supervise people with disabilities in janitorial cleaning skills.
- Maintain assigned buildings to levels specified on the task sheet by inspecting work to assure quality.
- Perform work tasks parallel with the crew to provide a role model.
- Enforce safety, security, and other rules, regulations, and procedures at assigned worksites.
- Know work‑related aspects of client’s training and employment plans.
- Report and document client progress to the case manager.
- Report incidents of client misconduct or violations of work rules to the case manager or manager.
- Respond to customer concerns from inspections, surveys, and the communication log.
- Perform all paperwork duties as assigned.
- Perform electronic client payroll.
- Perform electronic punch‑in/out for attendance.
- Keep updated on First Aid, CPR, CPI, and OIG Rule
50. - Fill out equipment repair sheets.
- Keep the manager informed of the status of worksites.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with customers and staff at assigned worksites.
- May need to cover other runs in the absence of the supervisor (primary job as substitute).
- Attend Jan‑Aid cleaning in‑services and scheduled meetings.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in the cleaning industry and/or experience working with individuals with diverse disabilities.
- Must attend and complete in‑service trainings as required.
- Must acquire and maintain CPR, First Aid, Non‑violent Intervention certifications, and OIG‑Rule
50 training. - Must be able to work a flexible schedule; extra hours may be required as cleaning demands increase.
- Must have effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of all assigned job‑site tasks.
- Must meet all time deadlines at designated worksites.
- Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license.
- Ability to lift equipment and garbage up to 50 pounds.
- May require significant walking, standing, and bending.

- Position may require employee’s use of personal automobile.
- Must maintain the minimal amount of liability on personal automobile insurance as defined by the AID employees’ handbook.
- Position requires staff to transport clients to job sites and home at shift end.
- Utilize Paycom to clock in and out.
- Learn Relias to complete required classes.
- Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
- Complete job requirements with minimal supervision.
- $1,000 sign‑on bonus for full‑time employees.
