Assistant Mechanic - Ocean Forest Golf Course Maintenance

The Assistant Mechanic will be responsible for assisting the Head Mechanic with repairs, building, ordering parts, and maintaining golf course equipment. This role includes performing regular preventative maintenance of equipment and tools, keeping detailed records on all equipment, and handling chemicals safely following all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) procedures. The Assistant Mechanic will also be expected to uphold the Sea Island legacy of warm genuine hospitality while ensuring compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will be designated to drive a company vehicle and must possess a valid Georgia Driver’s License, have a favorable driving history, and be at least 21 years of age. Proficiency with a variety of riding and power-driven machinery and equipment, as well as power hand tools and manual hand tools, is required. The candidate must be detail-oriented, able to manage competing priorities and multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and flexible to working days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
