2026 Summer Custodial Opening
(Mid June - Mid August)
Ellington Public Schools is seeking applications for summer custodial openings. This position will be district wide.
Job SummarySuccessful candidates will assist in the general upkeep of the district's facilities. Duties include cleaning buildings and furniture, maintaining school grounds, painting and moving classrooms.
Qualifications- Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Must be able to sit, walk, stand, lift up to 50 lbs and move items as needed.
- Must be able to take direction and work independently.
- Must submit to a state and national criminal history check as well as a DCF review.
This is a first shift at‑will position with no benefits. The 2025‑2026 hourly rate is $16.94.
