Cleaning Technician

Overview

SERVPRO of Southern York County is hiring Cleaning Technicians. As a Cleaning Technician, you will perform a variety of restoration processes to meet the specific cleaning needs of individual projects and ensure the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment. You will maintain an assigned service vehicle and deliver quality, efficient work that upholds the standards of the cleanup and restoration industry.

• Perform and evaluate cleaning-related restoration activities including fire/smoke/soot damage cleanup, general cleanings, move in/out cleans, nicotine cleaning, post-construction cleaning, and more.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with equipment and all necessary supplies for each cleaning project.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding safety hazards, job site findings, and equipment and tool requirements.
• Learn and develop specialized cleaning skills to enhance the SERVPRO Brand and advance within the company.
• Prepare rooms/areas for cleaning activities, setting up staging areas and equipment as needed for each project.
• Collaborate with management and fellow technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Perform cleaning processes as directed, ensuring thorough and efficient completion.
• Conduct end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown, leaving job sites clean and orderly.
• Develop expertise in cleaning services, cleaning products, and specialized equipment.
• Fulfill other tasks/duties as required by employer.

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, and in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push, pull, lift, and carry objects
• Ability to work with and around cleaning agents

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Experience in cleaning, and/or restoration style cleaning preferred
• Strong work ethic and strong oral communication skills

• This is a full-time position working 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, totaling 40 hours per week
• This position may require extended hours beyond the typical workday, including evenings and weekends
• Travel is primarily local, but occasional out-of-area and overnight travel may be required

Compensation: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
