Job Description

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for traveling across the region, with travel up to 50% of the time, which may include plane travel out-of-state. This role involves working on weekends and potential overtime, approximately 5% of the time. You will diagnose issues, work with your hands, and interact confidently with customers to explain findings and build trust.

The role requires a high level of autonomy, adaptability, and commitment to safety and regulatory compliance. You will use service software, tablets, and measurement instruments, maintaining precision in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

* Travel within a 4-hour radius of the location in Wisconsin, with occasional out-of-state travel by plane.

* Work independently and manage your own schedule, starting between 7-8 am depending on customer needs.

* Visit multiple customer sites daily, driving 1-2 hours on average, with occasional overnight jobs.

* Scan HEPA filters, conduct particle counting, and measure pressure, temperature, and humidity in clean rooms.

* Certify hoods and perform preventative maintenance, including repair tasks such as filter replacements.

* Troubleshoot and resolve issues when test results fail to meet standards.

* Maintain customer relationships and document findings in Excel reports.

Essential Skills

* Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.

* Electro-mechanical skills for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.

* Strong communication skills for interacting with pharmacists, biomedical engineers, and directors.

* Proficiency with service software and technology for reporting and diagnostics.

* Presentation skills to maintain a professional appearance.

* Valid driver's license for travel to multiple customer sites.

Work Environment

You will be traveling to customer sites including clean rooms, working on fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, medical HVAC systems, laminar flows, and autoclaves. The role offers significant autonomy and requires adaptability to changing environments. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
