Position SummaryThe Maintenance Worker will perform a variety of skilled and unskilled activities involved in the operation and maintenance of the facility’s general operations. This role will pay an hourly rate of $22.00 to $24.00.

- Maintain and make repairs to the venue as assigned.
- Complete work orders in a preventative maintenance system for the facility and all equipment.
- Record and log all work performed, complete work order slips, and compile required reports in a timely and complete manner.
- Maintain interior and exterior walls, including drywall repairs, sanding, and repainting.
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
- Work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, holidays, and extended workdays as needed.
- Frequent bending, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, lifting 50+ pounds, sitting, exposure to moderate to loud noises, and extensive walking through the building.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. and one (1) year full-time experience at a facility; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of and ability to use power tools and hand tools.
- Must hold a valid Driver’s License.
- Understanding of methods, principles, and practices for the operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiar with maintenance operational procedures, facility capabilities, industry terminology, and event-related services for the types of events anticipated at the facility (preferred).
- Understanding of door hardware, locks, key machines, door closers, etc.
- Possess any licenses, certificates, or training required by authorities for equipment operation in the facility.
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, and related materials.
- Ability to follow safety precautions, building codes, rules, regulations, risk management, and emergency procedures.
- Ability to operate equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, scrubbing machines or other light power-driven equipment.
- Ability to operate a computer and use 24/7 Work Order System, Windows and Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Experience in stadiums, arenas, and/or convention centers is preferred.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Must be willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
