Whatdo our Commercial Pest Control Technicians do?
The primary purpose of this role is to perform our industry leading pest management services for commercial customers. You will be responsible for identifying and eliminating pests from commercial properties by conducting thorough inspections, determining the type of pest infestation, applying appropriate treatments like pesticides and traps, and providing preventive measures to prevent future infestations, all while adhering to safety regulations and communicating with clients about pest control solutions.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
- Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest‑free environment. Provide advice on how to reduce the risk of future infestations.
- Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm their appointments, help with sales to current customers, and expand our product to new customers.
- Ensure that all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
- Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle (routine maintenance provided).
- Working in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Working around animals, insects, and termites.
- Handling mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals safely.
- Working both inside and outside in the local climate in company‑provided weather gear.
- Performing a variety of movements: sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, moving up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
- Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator.
- Clean‑shaven face required for safety reasons.
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- Availability to work Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills and ability to present information internally and externally.
- Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions for mixing on product labels.
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us).
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
- Experience with compliance background.
- Self‑starter with documentation experience.
- Experience with driving routes and technology.
- Comfortable managing own schedule and commission driven.
