Porter, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Overview

The Porter for Mueller will actively support community values and visions, while providing a warm, welcoming, professional approach when interacting with residents, colleagues and vendors. The Porter will utilize knowledge of facilities operations to maintain cleanliness of community amenities and common areas and assist with light maintenance and repair as needed.

• Maintain the community appearance by visiting common areas, including parks and trails, on a frequent basis.
• Perform daily cleaning of amenities and offices as assigned.
• Assist with upkeep and perform light maintenance throughout the community.
• Safely operate small hand tools and mechanical equipment such as blowers and pressure washers.
• Execute routine and preventative maintenance duties, including pressure washing, painting and trash removal.
• Participate in day-to-day community operations.
• Engage in risk management, emergency procedures, and safety programs.
• Assist with setup and takedown of community events when needed.
• Collaborate with the Facilities team on projects and assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED required; college coursework and/or skill-based technical training is highly desired.
• Ability to work in a team environment and on multiple projects simultaneously
• Entry-level experience in painting, janitorial work and knowledge of basic tools
• Bilingual in Spanish is helpful

• Flexible schedule based on community needs, including evenings, weekends and some holidays
• Must provide own transportation; must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Must be able to move/lift at least 30 pounds
• Ability to stay on foot for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions

Full-time

$19.23 – $21.20 per hour; up to 40 hours per week
