Summary

As part of the Ministry Operations team, the Maintenance Technician (MT) is responsible for preserving the excellent condition and functionality of The Austin Stone facilities. The MT will be responsible for plumbing, electrical, access control and HVAC maintenance, as well as any other problems as they arise. The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building.
  • Execute work orders and update work order status.
  • Follow preventative maintenance programs for all equipment, processes, and schedules to minimize disruptions.
  • Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance.
  • Receive and respond to tenant and staff reports of mechanical or maintenance issues or ministry needs.
  • Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects.
  • Maintain safety procedures at all times and comply with access control regulations.
  • Calibrate instruments and tools required for job responsibilities.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for Sunday services.
  • Attend all required events and activities for The Austin Stone, including all staff meetings, prayer meetings, special events, etc.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • General carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing knowledge and skills
  • Basic computer skills

  • Collaboration: Collaborate across the organization and with various ministry partners. Strong team player. Exemplifies and defends the Doctrines, Convictions, Philosophies, and Strategies of The Austin Stone Community Church as outlined in our Culture documents.
