Service Technician in Austin

Job Description

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Service Technician for a leading industrial equipment manufacturer in North Austin. In this role, you'll work with a team dedicated to servicing high-performance vacuum equipment used in industries like semiconductors and solar. You’ll be repairing and testing equipment such as turbo molecular pumps and power supplies, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.

• Repairing, testing, and troubleshooting turbo molecular pumps, power supplies, and other vacuum equipment
• Following strict safety protocols and wearing proper PPE at all times
• Cleaning and decontaminating equipment according to company procedures
• Accurately documenting service work, photos, and reports for internal review
• Supporting inventory management and maintaining service parts
• Assisting in preventive maintenance on shop tools and equipment
• Keeping work areas clean and organized
• Providing occasional support with shipping/receiving and other general warehouse tasks

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or technical repair environment
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow detailed procedures
• Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to be trained)
• Strong attention to detail, team player, and safety-first mindset
