Building Engineer – Colliers

This role focuses on ensuring the efficient operation of building maintenance systems to safeguard clients and properties.

• Respond to client requests and prioritize & assign work orders.
• Conduct regular inspections, alarm testing, and implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with property managers, suppliers, and department leaders.
• Manage multiple priorities and produce reports, including inventory, records, and schedules.
• Maintain daily operating logs for HVAC, fan units, utility meters, and address general complaints.
• Handle building systems and tenant service requests efficiently at the most economical cost.
• Assist in the development of the annual budget and RFP process for budgeted projects.
• Implement proper chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

• At least 3–5 years of building or property maintenance or engineering experience.
• Solid working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, energy management systems and other building mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Flexibility to be on‑call for after‑hours or weekend emergency requests.
• Working knowledge of work order and preventative maintenance software systems.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
