General Cleaning:
Quality-Works according to established procedures using prescribed equipment.
Quantity:
Maintains work schedule as assigned. Willingly accepts work assignments.
Overtime: before and after shift, weekend, holiday, and emergency response.Leadership:
Supervise and coordinate the work of one or more Building Attendant II's and inspect completed work. Provide basic instructions and maintain clear two-way communication.Administrative:
Prepare key logs, security logs, time reports, FAMIS, first reports of injury, inspection reports, supply orders, absence documentation and training records. Meet deadlines and perform complete and error‑free work. Notify supervisor of concerns and coach employees to meet expectations.Quality Assurance:
Ensure that services and event set‑ups are delivered per instructions, schedule, and/or work order. Conduct inspections, document inspections and corrective actions, respond to customer complaints.Abides by the Work Rules:
Follow uniform policy, be dependable, report to work on time, cooperate, accept assignments, and maintain a clean disciplinary record.Safety and Repair:
Use PPE and safety equipment, perform tasks within safety guidelines, report unsafe conditions, broken equipment, and operate custodial equipment safely.Security:
Secure buildings and rooms on schedule, follow unlocking, locking and alarm procedures, key control, carry UT g work hours, report missing and lost equipment.Other duties:
Emergency cleaning, report repairs, work events, act as backup for BAL, and any related duties as assigned.
Experience following basic work instructions. One year of experience in custodial, environmental services, hospitality, warehouse, production or facilities maintenance. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and write work materials and follow written instructions. Desire to work on a team. Stable work history. Must have a reliable means of communicating with the department outside of work by phone.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsHigh school graduation or GED. More than two years of custodial experience in any of the following fields: custodial, hospitality, environmental services, warehouse, production or facilities maintenance. Some experience in supervising, training, inspecting and scheduling custodial work. OS1 experience. Successful completion of the OS1 Comprehensive Certification Program.
Driving RequiredThis job requires a class “C” operator's driver's license. Current 3‑year driving record required. Non‑Texas residents must obtain a Texas driver’s license within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
Salary Range$39,520+ depending on qualifications
Working Conditions Environmental Demands- Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished)

- May work around chemical fumes, standard office conditions, bio‑hazards, chemicals, electrical and mechanical hazards
- Occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens
- Use of backpack vacuum cleaner and other standard custodial equipment

- Continuous standing and walking
Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Overtime required with little or no notice.
