The Day Porter role is responsible for daily on‑site janitorial tasks at a defined customer facility or office.

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

• Fill spray bottles with the required germicide for cleaning and sterilization.
• Clean, stock, and remove trash in each room; replace trash can liners multiple times during the shift.
• Mop all floors and/or vacuum all carpets.
• Clean all surfaces within the environment, including walls, desks, counters, equipment, and floors; address additional areas as requested.
• Shampoo rugs and clean glass surfaces as needed.
• Notify supervisor of discrepancies such as leaking faucets, broken pipes, or cracks in walls or glass.
• Become familiar with cleaning chemical components and safety requirements.
• Perform all other duties as defined by supervisor.

Education and/or

Experience:

High school diploma or GED; or one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.

• Stand, walk, lift/climb, talk/hear, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands or arms.
• Weight or force requirement: up to 40 pounds.
