Job Summary

Position: Janitor – full time (open immediately)

Location: Lake Travis High School – 3324 Ranch Road 620 South, Austin, TX 78738. Openings available at other school district sites.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. Full‑time and part‑time shifts may be available to fit scheduling needs.

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Requirements: Prior janitorial experience preferred but not required.

• Collect and dispose of trash according to approved procedures and infection‑control plans.
• Dust and mop floors according to approved procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and return items to their proper placement.
• Clean assigned areas using approved materials and equipment; sanitize all surfaces following the eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for staff, visitors and students.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by a supervisor.
• Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and local guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff and refinish floors; shampoo carpet.
• Contribute to the team; exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
