Bottling Maintenance Lead

The Maintenance Lead will assist in coordinating all daily maintenance activities. This position will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with training, assigning, scheduling, and communicating job expectations. This position will be responsible for repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment. Inspection of equipment for proper functioning and performance of preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer’s specifications. This position may require weekend and/or holiday work.

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Assists and leads assigned activities associated with maintenance activities.
• Diagnose, analyze, and investigate malfunctions of plant packaging equipment and repair/adjust to keep in good operating condition.
• Troubleshoots equipment, repairing/adjustments as necessary for maximum operating efficiency.
• Replace/repair motors, gearboxes, drive units and all other packaging equipment components as required.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any inefficiencies caused by equipment or materials used.
• Packaging equipment changeovers for different-size containers or components.
• Maintain assigned records or downtime logs of equipment malfunction or parts used for repair.
• Comply with good manufacturing practices, safety and audit standards.
• Monitors performance and productivity to maximize operational excellence.
• Responsible for identifying areas of improvement and establishing and updating existing work procedures and practices.
• Assist with determining staffing levels and assigning workload; including training of maintenance staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience in a similar position required, including leading or planning the work of other teammates.
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels within the organization.
• Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
• Must be computer proficient with the ability to type and update records quickly and accurately.
• Candidate must be able to lift 50+ lbs. above the head.
