Job Overview
Innovation/Utility Specialists perform pest control and exclusion services, minor construction, and TAP insulation installation to protect people, enhance lives, and preserve the planet.
Responsibilities- Conduct inspections, perform pest control services, and install and maintain termite control systems for residential and commercial clients.
- Install Thermal Acoustical Pest (TAP) insulation with quality service, managing site preparations and clean‑up.
- Assist with light construction projects, including minor repairs related to pest damage.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain services, ensure satisfaction, and provide guidance on pest control measures.
- Perform exclusion services and wildlife removal, setting up exclusion traps and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations; participate in ongoing training.
- Work around animals, insects, and termites.
- Operate in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
- Set up and build exclusion traps, cut flashing and forms hardware cloth to specifications.
- Remove animals trapped in exclusion devices.
- Work in a safety harness from roofs as needed.
- Complete production forms documenting services provided.
- Move up to 50 pounds, lift, carry, push, pull, or reposition objects.
- Maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
- Operate a motor vehicle and keep equipment clean.
- Work both inside and outside in varying weather, wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Clean shaven face for safety (rebreather seal).
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license from state of residence.
- Available to work Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills; ability to present information internally and externally.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide all units of measure).
- Ability to follow instructions for product label mixing.
- Required licenses and certificates covered by the employer as needed.
- Customer‑facing experience preferred.
