Job Summary /Responsibilities The Preventive Maintenance (PM) Engineer II is responsible for maintaining the hotel’s physical assets through a comprehensive preventive maintenance program. This position routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, building systems, and equipment to ensure a safe, comfortable, and exceptional guest experience. The PM Engineer II works independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with the Engineering team to minimize downtime and maintain the hotel's high standards
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, elevators, and other building systems.
Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, meeting rooms, and back-of-house areas to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
Complete preventive maintenance work orders accurately and on schedule.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment and facility issues using sound mechanical and technical judgment.
Perform general maintenance including painting, carpentry, drywall repair, flooring, caulking, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
Replace filters, belts, lamps, batteries, and other consumable components according to maintenance schedules.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and equipment records using the hotel's maintenance management system.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, fire safety regulations, and hotel safety standards.
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests while providing courteous and professional service.
Assist with emergency repairs and participate in the on-call rotation as required.
Maintain an organized workshop and ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
Support capital improvement projects and renovations as assigned.
Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
Perform other duties as requested by leadership
