Position SummaryMaintenance Tech
- Porter is responsible for performing routine, preventative, and minor repair tasks to ensure the ongoing functionality, safety, and appearance of the facility. This role focuses on light maintenance duties that help prevent larger issues, extend the life of building systems, and support a clean and well-maintained environment.
- Replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and sockets.
- Dusting furniture and fixtures, cleaning windows and mirrors.
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Patching small holes in walls and ceilings, touchup paint.
- Minor appliance maintenance repairs.
- Litter removal from parking spots, garden, and outdoor areas.
- Weeding, and basic upkeep of landscaping.
- Exterior upkeep (blow leaves / debris, keep sidewalks and common areas looking tidy, report damage or hazards).
- Cleaning and Appearance (empty outdoor trash cans, wipe clean trash cans, clean entry mats, doors and high touch areas, sweep walkways, breezeways, stairwells, spot clean spills or messes right away).
- Assembling furniture, shelving units, basic carpentry tasks.
- Inspecting and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC filters, plumbing fixtures and electrical systems.
- Setting up and breaking down equipment for events.
- Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Operate company vehicles to move through various company properties.
- Familiarity with basic maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment, and working at heights if necessary.
- Good verbal and written communication to interact with team members and report issues effectively.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be able to perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
- Must wear personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb to reach materials (must be able to climb a ladder).
- Repetitive motion.
