Total Store Sanitation Specialist
As a Total Store Sanitation Specialist, you'll maintain department fixtures and equipment cleanliness, and perform total store sanitation tasks to maintain the Store's cleanliness and safety. Key responsibilities include maintaining department cleanliness and safety with a sense of urgency and prioritization, deep cleaning and disinfecting processing areas and departments, maintaining proper documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification functions, properly using chemicals and cleaning tools, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are achieved by following SOPs, and communicating maintenance needs, process improvements, problems, or solutions to Store Leaders.
Additionally, you will work with and around customers, assist them in the location of products, and perform all duties of Total Store Sanitation Rep when needed.
Qualifications and key requirements include being 18+ years old, having at least 1+ years of experience in maintenance/sanitation, knowledge of OSHA guidelines, basic knowledge of product, product handling, and food preparation processes, strong communication skills, time-management skills, sack skills, ability to prioritize competing tasks, attention to detail, ability to learn to operate equipment from various Store departments at a basic level, ability to take initiative and do what needs to be done, ability to work under minimum supervision, ability to work with a team mindset, ability to work late evenings and overnight schedules, ability to identify types of insects or rodents and place/use pest control traps, and a customer service-oriented mindset.
Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED or equivalent. Licenses/certifications include completion of Company Orientation, In-store orientation, Basics of Safety, Annual Food Handler, and basic HAZMAT/Chemical Safety certifications upon hire.
Physical demands and working conditions include constantly reaching at waist, grasping, and being exposed to wet conditions; frequently standing, walking, reaching at shoulder, reaching at knee, bending, pushing/pulling with arms, and being exposed to cold conditions; occasionally reaching overhead, reaching at floor, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, pivoting, twisting, pinching, performing fine motor movements, and being exposed to hot, ambient temperatures, and loud noise;
and demonstrating the ability to lift 50 lbs and manage in excess of 50 lbs.
