Responsibilities- The Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of hospital buildings, equipment, and utility systems to ensure a safe, functional, and compliant healthcare environment.
- Support critical facility infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, and mechanical systems.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and infection control practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred.
- Experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or healthcare facilities.
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Valid driver's license and applicable certifications may be required.
- Own transportation and availability for on‑call nights and weekends if needed.
