Role DescriptionThe Maintenance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin, TX, responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of club facilities, grounds, and equipment. This role manages daily maintenance operations, including scheduling and monitoring preventive maintenance tasks for building systems, mechanical equipment, and outdoor amenities. The Maintenance Manager supervises maintenance staff, assigns work orders, inspects completed work, and ensures safety and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
The position involves coordinating with vendors and contractors, maintaining inventory of tools and supplies, responding to urgent maintenance requests, and supporting special events with facility setup and troubleshooting. The Maintenance Manager also prepares maintenance reports, tracks budgets, and recommends improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and member experience.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading, training, and scheduling maintenance teams.
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance, including diagnostics, basic mechanical repairs, and safe operation of tools.
- Experience with preventive maintenance planning, scheduling, and record keeping for facilities and equipment.
- Demonstrated maintenance management capabilities, including work order systems, vendor coordination, and budget awareness.
- Hands‑on maintenance and repair skills across areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds care.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and best practices for a hospitality or club environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems independently, and communicate clearly with staff, vendors, and leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or vocational training in facilities maintenance are preferred.
- Previous experience in facility or property maintenance management, ideally in hospitality, recreation, or similar settings.
