* Purpose:

** Responsible for the cleanliness of the Residence Halls and UHD Facilities.
** Responsibilities:
*** Clean bathrooms, offices, residence halls, dining halls, and kitchens. Consistently transport trash and supplies between floors.
* Respond and follow through with written and oral University and Housing and Dining policies, procedures, and work-related instructions from supervisors, team leaders, co-workers and residents.
* Remove trash from building and take to trash compactor outside.
* Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets.
* Strip, mop, and wax floors.
* Move and arrange furniture.

* Required Qualifications:

*** Six months of experience in custodial maintenance work
* Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Six months of janitorial experience in a large institution
* Six months of experience with vacuum cleaners, buffers, and floor machines
* Six months of experience stripping and refinishing vinyl tile floors
* Demonstrated ability to receive, respond, and follow through with verbal work-related instructions from supervisors, customers, and co-workers
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills
** Compensation**$20.00 per hour
** Working Conditions
*** Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (Shirt or Smock) (furnished)
* May work in all weather conditions

* Use of manual dexterity
