Responsibilities
- Cleaning VLT machines, between machines, VLT bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows, restaurants, counter tops, furniture, and any other decorative objects in the casino or common areas.
- Vacuuming carpet, sweeping and mopping tile floors, cleaning any spills that occur.
- Cleaning any biohazardous materials when they occur.
- Removing trash from the trash containers and placing it into the dumpsters.
- Providing exceptional customer service to all guests.
- Performing other reasonable related duties as assigned. The employer reserves the right to revise or change job duties and responsibilities as needed with appropriate notification.
- Must present a well‑groomed appearance.
- Must be able to use and control various mechanical equipment.
- Operating shampooing and sweeping equipment.
- Performing duties with a sense of urgency.
- Working as a team with other employees.
- Transporting all supplies to and from work areas.
- Operating the following equipment: vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mop and broom.
- Other duties, as needed.
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education and ExperiencePrevious housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred;
High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using U.S. money, weight measurement, volume, and distance. Possess ability to operate an adding machine and have basic computer skills.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations- Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving history as determined by the employer’s auto insurance carrier.
