Job Summary /Purpose:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment, facilities, grounds, and support systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position supervises maintenance personnel, coordinates preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance activities, and partners with production by maximizing equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for implementing and sustaining standardized maintenance processes, implementing, monitoring and improving maintenance KPIs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness.
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other cross‑functional teams, this role promotes operational discipline, accountability, and a proactive maintenance culture.
- Equipment Maintenance
- Direct and oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
- Plan, coordinate, and sustain preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate emergency repairs to restore equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate equipment maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
- Coordinate critical spare parts inventory and availability to support equipment reliability and minimize production downtime.
- Manufacturing Equipment and Utilities Systems
- Oversee the maintenance and support of manufacturing equipment and plant utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Coordinate inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvement activities for production equipment and facility utility systems.
- Ensure equipment and utility systems are maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and established maintenance standards.
- Evaluate equipment and utility performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and minimize downtime.

- MIG welding equipment and welding power sources
- Punch presses
- Vertical and horizontal saws
- Forklifts, tow motors, and other material handling equipment
- Air compressors and compressed air distribution systems
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Electrical distribution and control systems
- HVAC systems
- Water and natural gas systems
- Building systems and facility infrastructure
- Facility & Building Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the manufacturing facility, warehouse, offices, grounds, and building infrastructure.
- Coordinate building repairs, plumbing, lighting, HVAC, roofing, and general facility maintenance.
- Manage exterior property maintenance, including landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal.
- Coordinate and supervise outside contractors and service providers.
- Ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and operational condition.
- Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team.
- Assign and prioritize daily maintenance work to support production requirements.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to maintenance employees.
- Monitor work quality and ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
