Full-time, pay $16 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8 am to 4:00 pm.

Our Housekeeping Team takes pride in maintaining a spotless home for our residents. You will learn residents’ life stories as they share memories of cherished items and photographs while you clean their home. Housekeepers feel good knowing they have done a good job, and it feels even better when residents tell them how much they appreciate their hard work.

• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments and established housekeeping procedures.
• Assure assigned work areas are clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive.
• Follow established infection control practices.
• Follow safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
• Clean, polish, and sanitize furnishings, fixtures, windows, mirrors, and other surfaces.
• Clean floors: sweep, dust, mop, strip, wax, buff, disinfect.
• Clean carpets: vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, disinfect.
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, and other contaminants from surfaces with proper solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Discard waste into proper containers and reline trash receptacles.
• Report hazardous conditions or equipment.
• Store equipment, tools, and supplies properly before breaks, mealtimes, and end of shift.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Report light bulb and other equipment failures to the supervisor.
• Perform terminal cleaning procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred.
• Follow scheduled cleaning procedures and fire‑safety policies.
• Assist with lifting heavy equipment and supplies as directed.
• Report accidents or incidents to the supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident‑care information.
• Honor residents’ personal property and turn in found articles to the supervisor.
• Attend departmental and staff meetings.
• Keep work areas free of hazardous objects.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of experience in a health care facility preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English and follow instructions.
• Good interpersonal skills to deal with residents, families, and visitors.
• Capable of maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Willing to learn and incorporate new methods and principles.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning cleaning compounds and procedures.
