HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a Driver/Equipment Operator III to work at a customer location in Westlake, LA.

As a team member, you will be responsible for the safe and proper execution of HPC-Industrial jobs across all service lines. You will supervise single-task jobs, complete turnarounds with management oversight, and ensure compliance with client and company policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies and procedures of both the company and the customer, including hands‑on information regarding operations, safety, equipment, emergency response, and administrative functions.
  • Operate vacuum equipment and hydroblasting equipment.
  • Operate special equipment such as Ultra High‑Pressure pumps.
  • Energize pumping equipment and/or any specialized hydroblasting, chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks, and cutting equipment used on the job.
  • Examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance to company and customer specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on company equipment used on the job.
  • Perform duties associated with liquid vacs, air machines and jet rodders.
  • Direct a crew of vacuum technicians when required.
  • Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations.
  • Complete pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, maintain driver's logs, and comply with all vehicle policy and DOT requirements.
  • Load and unload hoses.
  • Unload vacuum truck at the dump site.
  • Provide general maintenance in the field.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?
  • Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on‑the‑job training, and essential experience gained in other jobs.
  • Language proficiency: understand English to comprehend safety training and respond to instructions in emergency situations.
  • Smartphone required for Electronic Logging Device.
  • Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers.
  • Experience operating a vacuum truck.
  • Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry vacuums.
Physical demands
  • Must be able to wear protective clothing or equipment, including Nomex coveralls, a back belt, slicker suits, rubber boots, a fresh‑air breathing mask, an escape pack, and a hard hat.
  • Must be able to work under extreme climate conditions (e.g., 95+°F heat index, 98% humidity, subzero weather conditions).
  • Must withstand exposure to dust, chemicals, environmental fumes, exhaust, and highly pressurized fluids.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
