Job Summary:

The Maintenance personnel will perform basic preventative maintenance as required. Be proactive to ensure the facilities are in a good safe condition at all times. Upkeep the facilities by inspecting and completing repairs in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

Inspects facilities periodically to determine problems and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.

Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation, etc.).

Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.

Participate in the coordination of projects and facilitate the completion.

Ensure adherence to quality standards , health and safety regulations.

Maintain and use company resources effectively.

Collaborates with Program Directors and/or Site Facilitator and Maintenance Supervisor to ensure facility maintenance needs are met.

Adheres to all VAC policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role.

Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, plumbing, etc.)

Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations.

Ability to work as a team, actively participate and collaborate with other team members.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail oriented.

Computer knowledge.

Ability to maintain composure, remains objective, demonstrate sound judgment and react effectively in challenging situations.

Flexible and adaptable to program and organizational changes.

Exhibits a positive, solution oriented and motivating demeanor at all times.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required;
Degree from vocational school preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent squatting, sitting, walking, standing, bending and twisting, kneeling, crawling, climbing.

Simple grasping with both hands and fine manipulation with both hands.

Regular exposure to excessive noise levels.
