Standard Elementary School

4 hours per day, 12 months per year

To provide safe, healthy, and orderly campuses; keep assigned buildings and grounds clean; and maintain security of school property.

• Materials, disinfectants, equipment and methods used in custodial work.

• Learn, use and maintain cleaning equipment and materials with skill and efficiency.
• Learn and utilize tools in minor maintenance work.
• Learn and utilize safe work practices.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Work effectively in the absence of supervision.
• Establish & maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Some custodial experience is desirable.

Formal or informal training which provides the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.

Possession of an appropriate, valid California driver's license.

Range 16, Step 1 $ 21.12 per hour. (Additional $0.32 per hour in lieu of benefits. Additional $0.25 per hour night differential.)

Review of employment applications and personal interview.

Requires TB test and fingerprinting. The applicant selected will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment before being hired as a probationary employee.
