The Maintenance Technician is a part-time, on-site role located in Bakersfield, CA. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on building systems, equipment, and resident areas to ensure a safe and well-functioning environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting equipment, completing work orders, conducting basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs, and assisting with preventive maintenance schedules. The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot issues as they arise, coordinate with vendors when needed, and document all work performed in accordance with company standards.

This role also supports general upkeep such as minor painting, cleaning mechanical areas, and responding promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from team members and residents.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to support daily facility operations.
• Candidates should possess Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance skills to identify issues early and reduce equipment downtime.
• Candidates should possess Industrial Maintenance skills for working safely and effectively with building systems and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and read basic technical manuals or work instructions.
• Knowledge of basic building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) and general repair practices.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritize multiple work orders.
• Commitment to safety protocols, including adherence to workplace and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and communicate clearly with residents and colleagues.
• Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, property management, or a related field is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications are a plus.
