Sanitation Associate – Day Shift

Days Off:
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Shift: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining a clean, food-safe environment in the food processing facility. The role requires wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times, maintaining janitorial equipment in a clean, organized, and safe manner, and following all health and safety regulations.

• Refrigerated Coolers:
  Empty trash cans and replace liners; clean and sanitize receptacles daily; sweep, mop, and scrub floors; clean and wipe down racks; clean metal tables; restock vinyl gloves; clean and sanitize hand wash sinks and three department sinks.
• Clean, Empty and Sanitize All Garbage Gondolas daily:
  Prepare cleaning solutions, check for leaks, clean all food manufacturing machinery according to SOPs, dry-clean floors, remove ice accumulation, empty trash cans and replace liners, clean and sanitize receptacles, clean floors and racks, clean and sanitize production utensils, bus tubs, red crates, and blue dollies; test sanitizer with Hydrion test strips; clean Tub Washer according to SOP.
• GMP Frock Room:
  Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing with floor scrubber.
• Trash Can Maintenance:
  Empty and replace liners, clean and sanitize receptacles; stock vinyl gloves; clean hand wash sinks and department sinks; clean walls during deep cleans.
• General Responsibilities:
  
  Follow facility GMPs and help enforce them; support the company’s SQF and quality programs.

• Fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in the food industry.
• General high school degree or equivalent (GED); high school diploma preferred.

Home Chef provides a base salary range, with actual offers depending on location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package, healthcare coverage, 401k match, and paid time off.

Maryland Pay Range: $18.75 per hour (USD).
