The Facilities/Warehouse Specialist supports Operations by organizing the warehouse and maintaining inventory levels. Responsible for shipping and receiving, loading and unloading, facility and grounds maintenance and assisting in a wide range of duties as needed. Reports to the Shop Foreman and Operations Manager.
Essential Duties- Adheres to all company policies and OSHA safety rules & regulations
- Takes swift action to stop any imminent danger situations you may encounter
- Promptly reports all accidents including minor first aid, property damages, and near misses
- Conducts daily workplace exams; identifies and promptly resolves potential hazards
- Supervises daily warehouse activities including inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping and customer service
- Manages the tool crib; ensures all items are accurately documented daily
- Performs general building maintenance including light lawn care/landscaping and parking lot
- Performs general housekeeping for the warehouse and office; replenishes supplies
- Assists with cleaning and washing fleet vehicles
- Assists in the development and implementation of warehouse policies, procedures and work instructions
- Inspects equipment, tools, and machinery regularly; oversees general maintenance
- Repairs and/or paints equipment
- Communicates frequently with mechanics, drivers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Acts as a backup to the Foreman as needed
- Other projects and duties as assigned
- High school diploma; certification in a skilled trade preferred
- 3 years' relevant experience in an industrial setting
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies
- Strong mechanical aptitude; knowledge of diesel and auto
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and convey this information to others
- Ability to communicate effectively including interpersonal skills; must be a team player
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels in organization

- Strong decision making and problem-solving
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Frequently required to walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, lift, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb stairs/ladders and use of hands
- Must have vision, hearing, and ability to talk
- Exposure to hot/cold temperatures
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Ability to travel independently throughout multiple NAMS facilities including customer job sites
