The Mechanical Maintenance Mechanic I performs maintenance, installation and repair work on mechanical systems, equipment and components. This work is performed under general supervision and using the tools and techniques of mechanical technology.
HoursFull time (40 hours), Rotating Shift, Weekend work required
LocationJohns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD 21287
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program which is approved/accepted by local or state government.
- Johns Hopkins Hospital Certification
- 5 years related work experience. The full-time equivalent spent in an approved program may count toward the 5-year work experience requirement.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of electrical techniques, codes, procedures and materials.
- Knowledge of safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
- Performs work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against trade, industry or engineered standards.

Salary Range:
Minimum 28.07/hour - Maximum 32.57/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
