Description
Support customers of Amada Punch Presses, Press Brakes, Shears, and other fabricating machines including installation, service, training, networking, programming and automation. Duties include working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems, as well as software and network applications.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control system issues.
- Follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
- Prepare daily service reports and weekly expense reports.
- Communicate effectively in English and, where possible, in Spanish.
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure timely follow‑through.
- Manage complete equipment installation, including use of hand tools, climbing, bending, and stooping.
- Operate, configure, and provide customer training on applications software and part programming.
- Use Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
- Travel regularly within assigned territory (Baltimore, MD and surrounding cities); occasional overnight stays.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- 4‑year degree in Electronics or a minimum of a 2‑year degree with related experience.
- Technical knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.
- Proficient with hand tools, volt/ohm meter, oscilloscope, and Windows operating systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Accountable and responsible for supporting customers throughout machine ownership.
- Proficiency in English;
Spanish language skills are a plus.
Routine travel within the assigned territory; occasional overnight stays.
