Job Description

Serves as working leader and is considered an expert for providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturer’s manuals or similar documents.
  • Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments.
  • Responsible for determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes.
  • Exercises judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow.
  • Uses complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
  • Installs and troubleshoots military and commercial radios in Combat Vehicles, Tactical Vehicles and base stations.
Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have 8 years applicable experience or completion of formal training and 6 years applicable experience.
  • Must have 3 years experience leading/supervising.

Physical Qualifications

  • The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you are subject to the environment.
  • Must be capable of frequent squatting, crouching, standing, climbing, stooping, and sitting, sometimes for extended periods.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend equipment.
  • Must be able to visually distinguish colors.
  • Must have good manual dexterity.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening periodic retest.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background screening.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.

Rate of Pay/Benefits

Hourly Rate: $48.42
