Great Opportunity for a Full Time Janitor!
This is a set aside position for a person with a disability.
Position located in Baltimore, MD.
Working hours:
7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Hourly wage $21.02. Full‑time position offering comprehensive benefits, including 100% employer‑paid health care coverage.
- Documented proof of disability (written report signed by a licensed physician, psychiatrist or qualified psychologist, reflecting the nature and extent of disability).
- Reliable transportation.
- Employee must obtain and maintain a government security clearance by passing a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Must have three to six months training or experience, or be capable of learning to perform the essential functions. Must be able to pass security clearance for designated contracts.
- Physical requirements:
stand 80% of work time, walk 15%, sit 5%. Lift/carry 50 pounds; push/pull 50 pounds. Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and handle ladders and stairs. Communicate with supervisors and coworkers. See with depth perception and differentiate colors for safety and chemical distinction.
- Sweep and mop hallways, stairs, and offices.
- Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash in prescribed manner.
- Dust horizontal surfaces.
- Empty and wash ashtrays.
- Clean bathrooms.
- Wax and buff floors with prescribed buffers.
- Clean glass and windows.
- Wash walls and other vertical surfaces.
- Sweep and clear snow from outside steps and sidewalks.
- Polish kick panels, doorknobs and other designated fixtures.
- Strip and wax floors.
- Vacuum rugs.
- Mix cleaning solutions.
- Maintain issued equipment.
- Notify supervisor when supplies and equipment are needed.
- All other duties assigned by Custodial Foreman.
