Housekeeper

The housekeeper will perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of multiple areas within the facility. The role includes providing emergency cleanup for spills while utilizing universal precautions to prevent infection and contamination. You will assist with the setup and breakdown for special events and work special events as scheduled. Additionally, miscellaneous duties may be assigned, and there may be occasions where you need to be on-call due to vacation or emergency leave of other housekeeping staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of facility areas.
• Provide emergency cleanup for spills using universal precautions.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for special events.
• Work and assist during special events, including weekends.
• Be on-call during short-staffed periods due to vacations or emergencies.
• Demonstrate accountability, participant focus, quality, independence, and mutual respect.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
• Knowledge of janitorial and environmental services.
• Ability to mop, sweep, and sanitize effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work well with others.
• Physical ability to lift up to seventy-five (75) lbs.
• Knowledge of up-to-date cleaning methods.
• Dependability and punctuality.
• Professional and pleasant responsiveness to participant needs.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with rotating Saturday shifts on the second Saturday of each month at 2:30 pm. You will work within a dynamic facility environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
