EVS Supervisor

Job Summary

Essential job functions include providing direction and development of support staff and team members, resulting in strong self-managed teams. This role involves interviewing, hiring, and ensuring proper training of new team members. It also includes assisting with employee timesheets, supervising day to day cleanliness and sanitation of public areas in Horseshoe Casino, performing routine inspections of all public areas, and assisting Public Area/EVS Attendant with deep cleaning and other projects.

The position requires scheduling employees to ensure excellent guest services are maintained in conjunction with efficiency and business needs, issuing assignments to Public Area/EVS Attendants reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of operations, and ensuring property cleanliness in the casino and restroom areas. Additionally, it involves delegating and holding team members accountable for success, creating a safe, healthy, productive, and fun work environment, understanding the budget process and inventory supply and control, and meeting attendance guidelines of the job and adhering to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.

These include monitoring casino floor, stairs, mirrors, glass and assigned areas to ensure quality and cleanliness, maintaining appearance of gaming area including dust and polish/disinfect slot machines and seats, cleaning trash from between, behind, and on the floor around slot machines, completely cleaning entire casino floor area, vacuuming, cleaning carpets and carpeted areas, ledges, edges, glass, cleaning gaming tables as/when requested, dusting and cleaning of all casino signage, servicing assigned areas daily, including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning and disinfecting of rest rooms, ash/trash receptacles, elevators, dusting, polishing, and sweeping, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning restrooms to include sink and mirrors - wall, toilet, vents, dispensers, etc, cleaning, sweeping, mopping and emptying trash in offices, lobbies, bar areas, corridors, elevators, locker rooms and other work areas as directed by the manager, monitoring bathrooms to ensure that they are always clean and orderly, maintaining all equipment supplies and supply rooms in an orderly manner, as instructed by Manager, removing all trash and recycling from all receptacles and disposing at their designated locations, operating trash and cardboard compactor following the Standard Operations Guidelines (SOG), supervising the oversight of the departmental duties: dusting, vacuuming, trash disposal, restroom cleaning;

cleaning of windows, mirrors, walls, doors, and carpet cleaning to include the cleaning of slot machines and other furnishings, assisting in maintaining inventory and order departmental cleaning supplies as required, assigning Public Area (EVS) staff daily cleaning duties as required, preparing and maintaining files, records, reports, and related documents in support of Public Area (EVS) activities, as assigned, enforcing Public Area (EVS) standard operational procedures, meeting and coordinating with prior shift Supervisor prior to each assigned shift, attending and completing required departmental training to include but not limited to;

bio clean up, carpet cleaning/shampooing/extracting, and chemical safety, being responsible for turning in any kind of lost and found into Security, delegating to ensure the completion of any project issued to them by manager, providing proper customer service by assisting out external/internal guests when they have questions or requests, ensuring that all keys are issued, signed out, and returned by the end of shift, ensuring that all Public Area/EVS personnel are completing all mandatory and required computer-based training, assisting in orienting and training of all new Public Area/EVS Attendants, Leads, and Supervisors, making sure that all new employees deal with Horseshoe Casino guests in a friendly and courteous manner and adheres to the Public Area/EVS standards, reporting maintenance needs following Horseshoe Casino and Caesars Entertainment's protocol, reporting emergency repairs to proper…
