Position Summary:

The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for maintaining Athletico clinics in a safe, professional, and fully operational condition throughout the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. regions and surrounding areas. This hands‑on position performs a variety of repair, maintenance, and facility support tasks. The role supports approximately 82 clinics within a 90‑minute driving radius and serves as the primary resource for routine maintenance, repairs, equipment assembly, furniture moves, and general facility upkeep.

Work Schedule:

This position is expected to work approximately 30 hours per week initially. Business needs may result in future adjustments to scheduled hours, including the potential for the position to become full‑time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Travel to clinic locations to perform routine maintenance and repair work.
  • Manage assigned maintenance tickets through Athletico’s facilities ticketing system and ensure timely completion of work.
  • Replace light bulbs, ballasts, exit signs, and emergency lighting.
  • Replace ceiling tiles and perform minor drywall patching and painting.
  • Perform minor plumbing repairs and adjustments.
  • Repair interior doors, locks, hardware, and related fixtures.
  • Clean ceiling return vents and perform general facility upkeep.
  • Repair or adjust window blinds, shades, and other clinic fixtures.
  • Assemble, repair, adjust, and relocate treatment tables and clinic equipment.
  • Assemble hi‑low treatment tables and other therapy equipment.
  • Assist clinics with moving furniture, supplies, and equipment.
  • Hang signs, artwork, bulletin boards, and other wall‑mounted items where specialized structural support is not required.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance tools, supplies, and materials and request replenishment as needed.
  • Document completed work orders through written updates and before‑and‑after photographs.
  • Assist with clinic openings, relocations, refreshes, and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Work Experience:
    • Three (3) or more years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, handyman services, construction, property management, or a related field.
    • Experience working independently and managing multiple work assignments preferred.
  • Certification/Licensure:
    • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Knowledge and Technical

    Skills:
    • Working knowledge of general maintenance practices, including basic electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and equipment assembly.
    • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
    • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clinic staff and management.
    • Ability to use mobile technology to manage work orders, submit photos, and track mileage.
    • Ability to work with Microsoft Office and Outlook.

Vehicle Requirements:

  • Must possess and maintain a reliable personal truck, van, or similar vehicle capable of transporting tools, maintenance supplies, and equipment.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
  • Athletico will provide necessary start‑up tools and supplies.
  • Business travel will be reimbursed at the IRS standard mileage reimbursement rate in accordance with Athletico policy.

Language

  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
