Maintenance Assistant

salary statement

estimated starting salary range: usd $18.98/hr.

- usd $31.64/hr salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

providing maintenance, repair, installation, and fabrication support to various skilled trades personnel while learning new crafts

• high school diploma or general education development (ged) diploma and at least two years of job-related experience
• proficiency with common hand tools, portable power tools, and pneumatic tools
• demonstrated experience assisting with or performing three or more of the following: facility maintenance; vehicle maintenance; construction; mechanical repair; installation of ancillary communications equipment (i.e., brackets, mounts, harnesses, cables, et cetera) into tactical ground and/or air platforms; carpentry/woodworking
• demonstrated experience assisting or supporting one or more of the following skilled trades: sheet metal workers, welders, painters, assemblers/fabricators, woodworkers, or riggers
• ability to lift/carry/move/hold up to 30 pounds

• ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, manuals with minimal assistance

src is a contractor for the u.s. Government, this position will require u.s. Citizenship and eligibility for a u.s. Government security clearance at the secret level
