Position Summary
The Property Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance, repairs, grounds maintenance, and apartment turnovers for residential rental properties managed by Dream Property Management. The ideal candidate has experience in general maintenance trades and can work independently while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude with tenants, vendors, and team members.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner
- Perform apartment turnovers, including repairs, painting, cleaning coordination, and inspections
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, faucets, toilets, and drains
- Perform basic electrical repairs including outlets, switches, fixtures, and troubleshooting
- Complete carpentry repairs such as doors, trim, drywall, flooring, and cabinetry
- Conduct preventative maintenance on buildings and equipment
- Assist with seasonal property maintenance including snow removal coordination and grounds maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials used
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with applicable codes and company standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance, construction, property management, or related experience preferred
- Some working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and general building maintenance is preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Ability to climb ladders and work in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Full-time position (40+ hours per week)
